About Michael Salazar
Michael is a 29-Year-Old Grad. at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. He currently focuses on one sport, Baseball.
Michael Salazar is a native of the local Scottsdale, Arizona area. He has been an active member of the community to include the YMCA, The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale and Mountain View Little League. Michael is on track to graduate in 2013 with a 3.75 GPA, and SAT/ACT scores to qualify for college entry. Michael is the oldest brother of two and is a role model not only to his younger brother, but in the community. Michael Salazar has participated in various activities that has enabled him to make a positive impression not only to his elders, but to his peers as well.
Michael Salazar aspires to earn a college degree while leveraging his baseball abilities. His goal is to secure a degree and to become a lawyer. Michael has taken his education seriously and is fully aware of the importance of strong grades, and character. His mindset will make him a team player where ever he decides to go to college.

Michael started playing baseball at age 5 and has played since. He started playing competitive baseball at age 9 through various club ball programs, and most importantly through Little League. Michael is the highest decorated Little Leaguer in Arizona History. He is a 7 time All Star, 4 time State Champion, Western Regional Champion, US Champion and a Junior Little League World Champion. In 2009, Michael was part of a Junior Little League All Star team that went 24 - 0, and became only the 2nd Little League World Champion in the State in Arizona. Not only was that team 2nd to none, the character and sportsmanship that team demonstrated has enabled all the players on that 2009 team to shine in their individual goals and aspirations.
Michael is working hard as a member of the Desert Mountain Baseball Program, and a member of the AZ Pro Camps program. The two programs are helping him prepare for the necessary exposure to baseball college programs to see what he has to offer. Michael has completed his 3rd year of DMHS baseball with a combined record of 53 - 4. His DMHS career batting average currently is .473 and a OBP of .654 respectfully. Michael has a career win loss recored of 14 - 2 and a 3 year DMHS ERA of .345. Michael currently has a fastball at 84 mph, and an offspeed at 69 mph, and a curve ball tracked at 73 mph.
In 2010, Michael pitched a 5 inning perfect game in a Las Vegas Fall Classic 16U game. The game was called due to a run rule. Michael is currently working with a pitching coach to refine his pitch selection in preparation for a strong summer camp to various colleges and college scout events.
