Kyrsten Branch - Track & Field Competitor

so Sophomore year in track i tried to stay away from the sprints.. but yeah that didnt happen i got put in the 200 100 and sprint relay.. i did okay at the 200 but terrible in the 100, i was anchor in the relay and we made it to area. now field events pole vault was something i was willing to try again... we found a coach that would help me, i started off a little rocky at first but i kept working at it and iand i finally paid off i got district champ, area qualifyer , area champ, and regional qulifier.. i got to regionals and i didnt do very good at all... they had the real deal there. Great vaulters!

freshman year i decided i wanted to do all of the sprints because when i was in jusior high i was pretty fast compared to everyone els, well i came to realize i was wrong i was running against girl who were extremely fast had super long legs and had the perfect running form... well i was embarressed and hated sprints from then on .. I tried out for the long jump and i made it but i didnt do so well at the meets i guess that year i figured out i wast a jumper either haha. so i found another field event i became very interested in.. polevault. i loved vaulting but i baisically had to teach myself because we didnt really hve a vault coach so i didnt end up placing at any meets. yess that year i learned alot about myself!
