About Janay Jackson
Janay is a 30-Year-Old Grad. at Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas. She currently focuses on one sport, Track & Field.
I am a sprinter and have been running track for about 10 years. I have ran summer leauge track since i was 6 years old, and made the varsity track team as a freshman at Mesquite High School. Track has always been my passion and i have contributed to the success of many Junior Olympic teams as well as my junior high and high school teams. I am very dedicated to my track career. I'm an extremely hard working and determined young lady who will always put my all into acheiving my goals.
I have ranked 92nd in the nation in the 100m dash in 2004. I was the 100m champion in my age group in the 2009 Mesquite South Zone Track Meet. I was also the 3rd place finisher in the 2009 Mesquite District Track Meet. In 2010, i was 1st leg on Mesquite High School's 4x100m relay. We won 2nd in Disrict and 5th in the region 2-5A championships. We participated in the 2010 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas and ranked 14 out of 92 teams in the 5A division. I competed in the 2010 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Norfolk, Virginia in the 4x1m and 400m relays. I also ran the 100m dash in the 2010 Texas Relays, and, as a freshman in high school, ranked 38 out of the 81 girls who participated. I hope to continue and train to get better and better to run track in college.
I am enrolled in all Advanced-Placement/Gifted and Talented classes at Mesquite High School and have been in Honors/Gifted classes since the 3rd grade.
