Hi! my name is Blasia Moyler. I am Junior at Wapakoneta High School in Ohio . I will graduate in the class of 2017. One of my main goals in life is to play softball at the College Level. I have been playing softball since I was 6, but most importantly I have been playing softball at a competitive level since I was 10. I can bring many things to a softball program such as Hard Work, Dedication and Leadership.
This past season for my High School team I started Varsity as a Sophomore Catcher, I led the team in RBI's,Slugging Percentage,Extra Base hits, Fewest numbers of strike outs, homeruns and a 1.000 fielding percentage. I earned First Team All-WBL (conference), Honorable Mention All Northwest Ohio, WDN 2nd team All Spring Athlete, WDN Honorable Mention Overall Athlete and I also recieved the Golden Glove award for the second year in a row. I also have participated in the WBL ALL-Star game both years. I started varsity as a freshman catcher as well and earned Second Team All Conference and Honorable Mention All Northwest Ohio. On top of that I broke the school record for most home runs in a season with 8.
Not only do I work hard on the field I also work hard in the classroom. I understand the importance of my Academic Capabilities and Achievements. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.98 and plan on keeping my GPA as high as possible. I have been on the honor roll for my two years in high school and recieved my 2nd all academic patch. I also am a part of extra curricular activities such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes , copy editor for the Schools yearbook staff, Library Helpers and Octagon Club. I also play on the Varsity basketball team.
My primary position is catcher but I am more than happy to play other available positions. I am very versatile. I am a hard worker and know what is expected of me as a student athlete. I am open to trying new things and understand that the team comes before myself . I am always on time and searching for ways to better myself as a person and as a softball player. Softball has given me great opportunities and for that I am thankful and I love and respect the game.
My college choices are completely wide open right now and I am willing to play at any college that fits me academically and athletically. I want to get a quality education while also getting the chance to play collegiate softball. I know on and off the field I will have to be dedicated, focused, and work extremely hard and I am more than willing to do anything it takes to reach my goals and dreams of being a college athlete.
