Briefs: Vikings' Childress gives players week off to rest (sportsline.com)

Monday's NFL news briefs: Coach Brad Childress said he has given the Vikings the entire week off. Practice will resume Sunday, and Minnesota will host a divisional round game the following Sunday, Jan. 17.
