Crosby Returns the Favor to Tie District (rivals.com)

After the decision to merge Forest Brook and Smiley into North Forest HS, there wasn't much optimism once South Alabama recruit Augustine Rubit made an abrupt decision to transfer to Humble Christian Life. However, the Bulldogs have fared well without him, and were all alone in first place with a district 19-4A clinching game against Crosby on tap. Senior guard Dewayne Wade brought some Miami type heat 29 pts (10/18fg, 1/7 treys, 8/14ft), but it wasn't enough as Crosby's Keandre Carter scored 13 of his game high 34 pts (12/18fg, 2/5 treys, 8/12ft), including a decisive go ahead three pointer to knock off North Forest (80-77) and force a first place tie between the teams - each with10-2 district records - with one week to go in the regular season.
