Tulane DE Scott granted sixth year (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Tulane defensive end Reggie Scott has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA because of medical hardship. Tulane announced the decision Thursday and said Scott will return for his final season in 2009. Scott suffered a season-ending injury during the opening game of his freshman year in 2004.
