Sources: Pernetti may become Rutgers AD (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

A 38-year-old former Rutgers football player has been nominated to serve as the university's next director of athletics, two sources familiar with the decision told The Associated Press late Wednesday. University president Richard L. McCormick nominated Tim Pernetti on Wednesday, according to the sources who requested anonymity because the school has not announced the decision.
