USC hires Schneider to run special teams (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Brian Schneider, the Oakland Raiders' special teams coordinator the past two seasons, has been hired to handle the same job at Southern California. "We've worked for years to create the opportunity to have a special teams coordinator," USC coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday. "We're delighted that the right guy came along for the spot in Brian Schneider.
