Tuberville to become Texas Tech coach (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

A person close to the decision tells the Associated Press that Texas Tech has hired Tommy Tuberville as its next coach. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Saturday because the school had not yet announced the decision. Tuberville will succeed Mike Leach, who was fired last month amid allegations he mistreated a player who suffered a concussion.
