Sanford picked to run Louisville offense (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Former UNLV head coach Mike Sanford is the new offensive coordinator at Louisville. Louisville coach Charlie Strong announced the hire on Tuesday. Sanford was fired as head coach of the Runnin' Rebels last month. He went 16-43 in five seasons at UNLV, failing to make a bowl game in any season. Sanford previously worked as offensive coordinator at Utah under Urban Meyer.
