No. 17 Pitt accepts Meineke Bowl invite (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

A day after a heartbreaking loss cost it a BCS bid, No. 17 Pittsburgh has accepted an invitation to play in the Meineke Bowl for the second time. The Panthers will play a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Dec. 26. That league's representative was to be announced later Sunday.
