LSU probing possible football violations (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva says the school is investigating possible NCAA violations involving its football team. Alleva confirmed in an e-mail that the investigation primarily involves an assistant coach and a current student-athlete who has not played in a football game this season. Alleva says the Southeastern Conference has been made aware of the probe.
