Snyder resigns after 5 years at Marshall (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Marshall football coach Mark Snyder is resigning. Synder said in a news release issued Sunday that he made the decision after meeting earlier in the day with athletic director Mike Hamrick. The 1988 Marshall graduate said the two men agreed his resignation was in the best interests of the program. Synder said he was honored to lead the Thundering Herd the past five years.
