Laura Broomfield and She'la White scored 14 points each to help No. 5 North Carolina defeat College of Charleston 88-57 on Friday in the season opener for both teams. Cetera DeGraffenreid and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt added 13 points apiece for the Tar Heels, who trailed 13-10 five minutes into the game before rallying for a 46-27 lead at halftime.
