Nnemkadi Ogwumike scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and No. 2 Stanford opened its season with an easy 89-56 victory against Old Dominion on Friday night. The Cardinal, coming off back-to-back trips to the national semifinals and hoping to go further this year behind preseason All-American Jayne Appel, almost didn't need their 6-foot-4 center.
