Louisville hires Willard as assistant (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Louisville has hired Holy Cross head basketball coach Ralph Willard as "associate coach" to Rick Pitino. Pitino said Wednesday in a statement from the Cardinals' athletics department that he had been pursuing Willard for 10 years. Willard previously coached as an assistant under Pitino with the New York Knicks and at the University of Kentucky.
