Rhode Island hires Inglese as women's coach (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Former Boston College women's basketball coach Cathy Inglese will be introduced as the new coach at the University of Rhode Island. The university scheduled a news conference Tuesday to make the announcement. Inglese resigned from BC last year after 15 seasons. She won 20 games eight times and reached the NCAA tournament in seven of her last 10 seasons.
