Shooting drought foils Louisville in final (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Angel McCoughtry called for the ball every time down the floor. Louisville's strategy was to ride its All-American forward to a championship. It didn't work. McCoughtry ended up with 23 points, but another stretch of awful shooting doomed the Cardinals' upset hopes against unbeaten Connecticut in a 76-54 national championship game loss Tuesday night.
