Canisius assistant Adingono resigns (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Former Rhode Island star and international coach Lazare Adingono has resigned as assistant coach of the Canisius men's basketball team, two months after being arrested on charges of using a belt to beat his 4-year-old son. Harvey Siegel, Adingono's attorney, said Thursday his client resigned to focus his attention on family issues.
