Stanford would have just a 40-mile drive to Haas Pavilion if it advances to next Saturday's Berkeley Regional semifinal. The Cardinal, though, realize they need to take care of a San Diego State team Monday night that will be looking to extend its program record to 18 consecutive home wins. Stanford (30-4), the second seed, returns to Cox Arena looking for its 18th straight win overall.
