Tennessee dismisses Smith after arrest (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl has dismissed Tyler Smith from the team following the arrest of Smith and three other players a week ago. Smith, a senior guard/forward, and the others face misdemeanor drug, gun and alcohol charges. Pearl announced his decision to dismiss Smith on Friday and said Melvin Goins, Cameron Tatum and Brian Williams remain on indefinite suspension.
