Temple beats Saint Joe's in A-10 opener (AP) (sports.yahoo.com)

Lavoy Allen had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Ryan Brooks added 13 points and No. 21 Temple followed its most lopsided loss in 17 years with a 73-46 victory over Saint Joseph's in the Atlantic-10 opener for both teams Wednesday night. The teams will meet again on Feb. 20 at the Palestra with that game being billed as the Big 5 matchup in the city series.
