Georgia needed a strong second half to tie a decade-old school record. Ashley Houts scored 14 points to help the ninth-ranked Bulldogs get to 14-0 with a 52-44 victory over Alabama on Sunday. Porsha Phillips had a career-high 17 rebounds, Angel Robinson had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Meredith Mitchell added 11 points and eight rebounds for Georgia in the SEC opener for both teams.
